From 25 November to 10 December 2025, LightUp Lanka led a trilingual public awareness campaign in Tamil, English and Sinhala marking the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence under the 2025 theme: "UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls."

Led by Senior Program Manager Nilavini Thavapalan and the LightUp Lanka youth team, the campaign highlighted the real-world impact of cyber harassment, non-consensual image sharing and online hate speech, while sharing practical digital safety guidance and survivor support resources.
