In the immediate aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah in early December 2025, LightUp Lanka mobilized volunteers and community donors to provide urgent dry ration and sanitary relief packages to flood-hit households in Kilinochchi District.
On 2 December 2025, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of the University of Vavuniya, our team packed and distributed emergency food and sanitary packs to 35 severely affected families in Kilinochchi.
On 3 December 2025, utilizing Rs. 120,000 in community contributions and working alongside the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Kilinochchi Branch and the village officer of Mavadi Community Centre, LightUp Lanka delivered dry ration packages to an additional 65 families in Vattakachchi, Mavadi and Mayavanur.
