Recognizing the acute vulnerability of infants and pregnant mothers displaced by Cyclone Ditwah flooding, LightUp Lanka organized a dedicated Infant & Maternal Care Drive across Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi districts between 4 and 7 December 2025.
Each care package—valued at Rs. 2,500—contained infant hygiene essentials, nutritional supplies and baby care items: • 40 baby care packages distributed to families with infants under one year old in Paaliyaaru GN Division, Mullaitivu. • 20 baby care packages handed over to the Maanthai East Divisional Secretariat (Pandiyankulam) for flood-affected infants. • 15 nutritional and emergency relief packs delivered for pregnant women and infants in Vanneri, Kilinochchi. • 15 nutritional and emergency relief packs delivered for pregnant women and infants in Aanaivilunthaan, Kilinochchi.
