On 20 August 2026, LightUp Lanka hosted a Free Crochet-Making Workshop from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Vanniyan Restaurant, Kilinochchi, implemented in partnership with Chrysalis and funded by the European Union in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Open to women and youth beginners in Kilinochchi, the hands-on session taught participants how to craft crochet dresses and decorative flowers, providing all basic raw materials free of charge to encourage home-based craft entrepreneurship and self-employment.
