In August 2023, LightUp Lanka convened a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in Kilinochchi in collaboration with the Centre for Equality and Justice (CEJ) to listen to women’s and community members’ lived perspectives on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
Insights from the consultation informed subsequent community workshops on countering online hate speech, supporting survivors and strengthening local referral networks across Kilinochchi District.
